Hevery everyone! It’s Dan from Two Friendly Nerds with a quick video because we’re really, really excited to announce something.

Now we here at Two Friendly Nerds have been known for doing website design, but we also do a lot of local and internet marketing – things like email campaigns, SEO, online advertising, Google Ads, etc.

That part of our business has been growing really quickly, people love it and are excited about the results they’re seeing – and we wanted to add something – we wanted to add a secret sauce to really get our clients a lot fo results. Most fo the business that work with us, ltos of results means lots of clients – new people coming in the door, new people checking them out, and getting current customers to come in the door more often.

Something we get asked a lot is: What do I really need to get my business online? What’s the most minimal set up you can have, and still be effective online?

There are a lot of people out there who will pitch you all manner of crazy bells and whistles for your website: mailing list programs, “customer retention” programs, online advertising campaigns, and so on. Do you need any of this stuff? Is any of it worth the cost?

Always keep this basic principle in mind: You only need what moves you towards your goals. Every business is different, and has different needs and ambitions. If you’re just starting out, you probably don’t need all the bells and whistles: you just need to get your online home base set up. If you’re more established, or are looking to grow your online presence, then some of that stuff might be for you.
